NEW PATIENTS
A Multipronged Natural Approach
As there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to treating headaches, we offer various solutions:
Adjustments
For patients with migraines, we do chiropractic adjustments, using either manual techniques or the Activator® tool, depending upon how severe a patient’s pain is. The Activator offers a gentler approach.
Traction
After chiropractic care, we’ll typically provide some sort of traction, such as intersegmental. Or we may do extension exercises with the patient, especially if they’re dealing with structural problems in their neck, which is causing headaches.
Graston Technique®
The Graston Technique is an effective treatment option for those suffering from headaches and migraines. The technique focuses on deep manual therapy that breaks up adhesions in the muscles and joints to restore normal tissue mobility and reduce pain. It can be used to target areas of tension and tightness, which may help alleviate headache symptoms.
SoftWave Therapy
SoftWave, a non-invasive stem cell therapy, helps calm down and control some inflammation in the upper cervical spine to help modulate inflammation.
A Patient Success Story
A woman, who came in with migraines, had never been to a chiropractor before and had been taking various medications for her pain. She experienced almost three to five migraines per week and missed work as a result. She also wasn’t happy at home, because she had to be in a dark room. Finally, one day, the woman decided to come see us.
After a couple adjustments, she was down to hardly any migraines, just low grade headaches. We’ve been working with her since and managing those. Prior to care, she was to the point of being nauseous, throwing up, and having dizzy spells. After just a few adjustments, all those unpleasant symptoms were gone.
